Loved it. Awesome book. Can’t wait to go back to Scotland and play some of these lesser know courses.

A great and easy read. TC is a diehard golf guy and it comes out on every page. Really enjoyed it and can’t wait for the next book.
A Classic

Tom Coyne’s best (I’ve read them all) and the best golf memoir/ travel book I’ve ever read. Great descriptions of people, places and experiences. This is a must-have in any golf lover’s library.
A love letter to the game and it's birthplace

I am a lifelong golf addict. I played growing up, played For a D1 University in the ACC. Have played in 100 state level championships winning a few and qualified for a few USGA events. I knew I loved the game but a few years ago I read A Course Called Ireland and laughed and cried and saw what it meant to really love it. I went to Ireland last year because of that book and learned to love golf in a new way. I just got back from Scotland two days before this book was released and it was the trip of a lifetime. Everyone loves the rota courses but if you don't love North Berwick you just don't get it. I can't say what "it " is but the adjectives would be purity, simplicity, genius. This author gets it and I loves that he plays my game and encouraged me to love it in a new way with my trips overseas. If you really love golf, I don't mean bud light and cigars golf, if you really love the game. You will love this book and you will be booking a trip.
