This year, they’re off to Lisbon: the perfect flat, the perfect view, the perfect itinerary. And what better way to kick things off in style than with the perfect night out?

But when Orla wakes up the next morning, Kate is gone. Brushed off by the police and with only a fuzzy memory of the night’s events, Orla is her friend’s only hope. As she frantically retraces their steps, Orla makes a series of shattering discoveries that threaten everything she holds dear. Because while Lisbon holds the secret of what happened that night, the truth may lie closer to home…

  • Hard to believe

    By authrrgrrl
Like many others, there were a lot of twists and turns in this book and also some very good characters. But I really find most of the story hard to believe that someone could be that naïve and that obtuse about what is going on. And the fact that an Uber driver mafia guy would just decide to help her out of the goodness of his own heart? I felt it was entertaining with an undercurrent of annoyance for how not believable it was.
  • Mind Blown!

This was such a great story! So many twists and turns! And I also enjoyed watching the movie on Netflix after reading this book — although the book was better than the movie! I might have a new favorite author!

    Stupid.
  • Life Interrupted

    By Ozcrome
Prepare yourself for a life interruption. I agree that the book started a little slow but it is not without purpose. The author is setting up the details that you will come back to again as you try to piece together this mystery. As you approach the midway point of this book you won’t want to put it down. Prepare yourself to stay up too late and get in a chapter or two at lunch or even a page or so as your brush you teeth before work. It’s that good.
  • Ending was great but

    By Broadwayj7
Just when I thought I knew how it was going to end, there was a pretty good twist. My only complaint with this book is that the main character Orla is the stupidest protagonist I’ve ever read, which made this hard to read at some points. Overall good easy read.
  • Couldn’t put it down

    By Guitarchick1327
I thought the book started out a little slow.. gathering details and little bits of information. However, when the story got interesting—it didn’t stop and I couldn’t put it down. 10/10 would recommend.
  • Great Read!

So good, kept me guess the entire time! Quick read but very engaging.
  • Surviving the Weekend

    By TheScarringScarlett
The premise caught my attention immediately. A missing friend while on vacation sounds like a good mystery! But the twists and turns is what made it an excellent mystery & thriller. There were a couple twists that I didn’t even see coming. The author makes it clear from the beginning that you can’t trust anyone... What feels like a slow start in the beginning, ends up being great background information. Keep your eyes peeled! Orla was an interesting narrator to the story and does what anyone would do if their friend ends up missing on a trip. I enjoyed her character evolution, although she may be too trusting at times. All in all, it was a great read!
  • Keeps you reading

    By L8krfan
Definitely enough characters and situations to keep you guessing. Good writing and a lead character naive enough to keep you reading to determine what’s next.
  • Great read, great author

    By ReaderJunkie29
Great read, twists and more twists. Loved the author’s style of writing. Thought I had it figured out, and then another twist.
