Amazing BOOK!
By MElaninElehcim
I recently just got back into reading. I couldn’t put this book down. Tabitha’s character really speaks to all black girls like myself that have been through the hoops of trying to have successful careers and balancing romantic relationships and friendships and feeling depleted at the end of the day.
Hard to read

Super cringe dialogue and plot lines surrounding the main characters race…the book doesn’t seem like it’s written by a black person, couldn’t finish it.
Relatable

Tabitha’s life is incredibly relatable as she navigates her career, friends, family and love life. I was drawn into the story and instantly started the sequel.

It’s been a long couple of years for me, but BGMDE helped me through it one chapter at a time. I enjoyed Tabitha’s story because I could see myself. There were a tears being shed especially as I read the second half of the book, but each situation I feel was a real experience for black girls and women. Great read!
Disappointing

I had high hopes for this book based on the cover and reviews. Sigh. I'm giving it 2 stars for the artwork only. So unoriginal and boring.
